Aalberts integrated piping systems wins the Aalberts sustainability award

We are proud to share that Aalberts integrated piping systems EMEA has won the Aalberts sustainability award.

Each year our parent company Aalberts NV recognises the business units for their performance in the past year with awards for four key topics: people & culture, innovation, overall performance and sustainability. Last year, we were runners-up for the sustainability award. This year, we took the win. It is a strong signal that the work happening across our teams, sites and functions is making a real difference.

Most importantly, this award was not won by one project or one department. It reflects the commitment of many colleagues across the business who have supported sustainability in practical, measurable ways. Whether through better reporting, stronger site-level engagement, customer training, certification work or product data improvements, this has been a true team effort.

Throughout 2025, we made strong progress across a wide range of sustainability topics.

A major milestone was achieving EcoVadis Gold in the Netherlands, ranking in top 5% of rated companies worldwide. We also continued to strengthen our management systems, expanding our ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 coverage, with great progress in France.

Engagement also grew significantly. Over the last year we built a stronger internal sustainability network by creating a group of local sustainability leads and recruiting 54 sustainability ambassadors. Together, they helped bring sustainability closer to everyday decision-making across the organisation and increase impact of engagement days like Sustainable Development Goals Flag Day in September.

Our environmental performance also continued to improve. We increased our green electricity share to 92%. Compared with the previous year, we reduced carbon intensity by 44%, energy intensity by 25% and water intensity by 9%. Compared with 2018, that means reductions of 84% in carbon, 45% in energy and 43% in water intensity respectively.

Thank you to all colleagues who rallied behind the cause. This award is yours.
